    Most of us are often frustrated by how short-lived a bouquet may be once they get it home.

    We may forget that fresh cut flowers are still living entities that can be encouraged to last much longer under the right conditions.

    The following tips will help make your flowers last longer.

    How to care for your flowers before they reach us!

     

    For bouquets: 

    1. Find a nice, shaded space to rest your flowers. Direct sunlight will cause the colour to fade out so try to avoid that!
    2. Sprinkle some flower powder.
    3. If the flowers start to wilt after 5 days, tie them up and hang them upside down in a well-ventilated area. 

    For Grand Opening flower arrangements:

    1. Find a nice, shaded space to rest your flowers. Direct sunlight will cause the colour to fade out so try to avoid that!
    2. We will come collect within 14 days of your order being placed. 

     

    Things to avoid!

    Do not mist or water your flowers! Air drying is the way to go and any additional water will cause damage in that process. Blow moderately with a hair dryer if bouquet becomes dusty. 

     

    Do not expose the flowers to extreme weather conditions! Drying in intense heat (like an oven) or hanging them in your bathroom (where moisture runs wild) will interrupt the drying process!

     

    Do not expose flowers to sun! It will cause the natural colour to fade!

    Shayne works in the business of Magic Botanicals. Inspired by the struggles and storytelling of unwanted flowers, she explores different mediums to extend their beauty in the eye of the beholder.

    As the flowers continue their journey past a shelf life, Shayne works with them to give them another.

    Shayne has been constantly innovating and refining her own unique form of floral art.

    Inspired to spark a movement of creativity and support amongst eager, hungry artists, she hopes to contribute to a community of creative floral enthusiasts in Malaysia.

    Her top mission is to seek collaboration with multidisciplinary artists to create experimental sensory approaches to life and environments through nature and art.
